Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Synopsis
Meek flower shop assistant Seymour (Rick Moranis) pines for co-worker Audrey (Ellen Greene). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey's boyfriend, Orin (Steve Martin), to the plant after Orin's accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.
Notes
One of the highlights was watching Steve Martin play a bad guy AND he was so abusive and obnoxious. AND he had black hair! It was the youngest I've seen him. It was amusing for me because I grew up watching him as Hilary Duff's dad on Cheaper by the Dozen and him and Queen Latifah on Bringing Down the House. And Bowfinger and Pink Panther... and later, babe introduced me to Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!
I really enjoyed this movie. I loved the puppetry by Jim Henson, and the comedy and musical element. And Rick Moranis! When I was younger I had only seen him on Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! I'm usually bad with face and names so to think I only saw him on 1 movie, he must have made a lasting impression.
